The 8th meeting of the "Delivery Platform - Merchant Cooperation Committee" (hereinafter referred to as the 'Cooperation Committee' / Chair: Professor Lee Jeong-hee) was held on October 23 at 2:30 PM.
In today's meeting, the merchant representatives raised four key demands from the previous meeting*. In response, the delivery platforms presented their revised positions based on the outcomes of the last meeting.
- Key demands include: ▲ Measures to reduce the burden of commission fees on merchants, ▲ Displaying merchant burden items (commission fees and delivery charges) on consumer receipts, ▲ Cessation of the best treatment demand, ▲ Sharing delivery driver location information.
Following the previous 7th meeting, there was an active exchange of opinions regarding major issues like commission fee burdens in this 8th meeting as well. The Cooperation Committee requested that the delivery platforms clarify their positions once more to formulate meaningful cooperative measures.
Based on today's discussions, the Cooperation Committee has decided to engage in additional negotiations. They plan to hold another meeting soon to reconcile the positions of both sides.
